Museum of the diocese in Bressanone

muesum of the diocese exhibits sculptures and panels from the mediaeval to the modern times, the treasure of the cathedral, historic furniture and Viennese porcelain, a baroque chapel and the museum of the cribs.

Abbey Novacella near Bressanone
The monastery is one of the largest in Tyrol and offers a lot of sights: the romanic church, the rotunda of the Engelsburg, gothic cloister with valuable frescos, the fountain with the 8 Wonders of the World (the eighth one should be Novacella), the library in rococo style as well as numerous paintings of important artists! The mill and the wine cellar show the economical emportance of the monastery. [

Treasure of Loreto in the city museum Chiusa
The well known treasure of Loreto is exhibited in the city museum of Chiusa. Ecclesiastical parchments, religious objects and paintings of spanish and italian artists of the 16th and 17th century are just a small part of the treasure.

South Tyrolean mining museum at the Schneeberg - Ridnaun
The highest mine of Europe is located at the Schneeberg! In Ridnaun a 200 m long tunnel shows the ore mining methods from the mediaeval to the present and the original machine, which is still fully functional, gives a realistic impression of how the ore has been reprocessed. An excursion of several houres below ground makes it to a real adventure! [

Folklore museum Teodone
According to the ADAC-Atlas the
folklore muesum of Teodone is one of the most beautiful open-air muesums of Europe. 4 ha open-air exhibition ground with old farmhauses and traditional workshops deliver insight into the variety of social stratums of the rural society. The heart of the museum is the manor house „Mair am Hof“ with a few collections of the popular art such as a pipe collection and a zither collection. [
