on the first floor you can find our dining room “Schwemme”. The name „Schwemme“ is austrian and is used also nowadays. It stands for convival gatherings for foreign and domestic guests. (capacity: 30 persons)

In nearly every traditional tyrolean hotel you can find a so called „gentlemen room“ where the gentlemens from the society circles met for their regulars’ table. The „Gruener Baum“ has also a gentlemen room that was popular among the clergy of Bressanone. Therefore this room is also called „Vatican“. Bishop Johannes Geisler and the art historian Josef Weingartner were regular guest. Also Pope Benedikt XVI. and his brother graced us with their visit! (capacity: 25 persons)
The panelling of the rooms is made of arolla pine wood, one of the most precious coniferous woods in Tyrol. The arolla pine grows also over 2.000 m of sea level and according to this the wood is very resistant. The reddish-orange colour of the young arolla pine wood darkens over the years but without loosing its attractiveness. (capacity: 15 persons – 30 persons)
Stufels is the oldest quarter of Bressanone. A part of Stufels didn’t belong to Bressanone but to the court of Rodengo, which was ruled by the castle Rodenegg (the largest fortification South Tyrols). The court was splitted up in three subdistricts and the „lower third“ included also the Via Unterdrittel on the east side of Stufels. (capacity: 50 persons)
The church of Stufel is consecrated to the guardian angel and every year on the first sunday of september we celebrate the feast of the guardian angel. The name of this rooms remembers the patron of Stufel. (capacity: 65 persons)
The panelling of this inviting parlor on the ground floor was arranged till a few years ago in an old house in Stufels. This house, called „Rogen“ or „Schalderer-Gùtl“, is a familiy property for decades. With the „Rogen-Stube“ a piece of history and atmosphere of Bressanone came to the „Grùner Baum“ (capacity: 25 persons)
The Bùrgerstube on the ground floor is a beautifull and very comfortable room. This new parlour was built in elaborated bricolage with pieces from three different old parlors from farmhouses of the Valle Garden. Part of the wood is 400 years old. A public-opinion poll resulted in the decision to name the room „Bùrgerstube“ (capacity: 70 persons)
The local historian Hans Fink called Stufels the „basic unit of Bressanone“. In fact, this quarter is one of the most historic district of Bressanone. The large Stufler-Saal is a good place for banquets and large parties and a welcoming centers of Bressanone. For conferences and other occasions the „Stufler-Saal“ can be devided appropriately. (capacity: 150 persons)
